What is Baptism?
Baptism is an important step of obedience that shows others we have personally trusted Jesus for our salvation. Jesus was baptized when He was on the earth and we do this to follow His example. When Christians are baptized, they are submerged under water to identify with the death and burial of Jesus and raised out of the water to identify with His resurrection.
We believe that water baptism is a public declaration of three important things: you are a follower of Jesus Christ, you are beginning a changed life in Christ, and you are part of a new family.
Ridge is a place to Become Who God Created You To Be
1. Place your faith in Christ
Deciding to follow Jesus is the most important step you can take. When you place your faith in Christ, you begin a journey of forgiveness, new purpose, and eternal hope
2. Declare through Baptism
Baptism is your public “yes” to Jesus—a powerful symbol of dying to your old life and rising with new purpose. It’s a celebration with your church family that marks the beginning of your transformed journey.
3. Look More Like Jesus.
Life with Jesus is meant to deepen. Through weekly gatherings, small groups, and serving on teams, you’ll build spiritual habits, find belonging and encouragement, take next steps, and experience the joy of seeing your faith take root and flourish as we all lock arms to look more like Jesus.
